What About Us

Yes, Time Doe's Indeed Go On
Poetry has a unique ability to capture the essence of life in a beautiful and poignant way. One such remarkable poem, presented to us by Cindy Boniface in 1973, has the power to transport us back in time and offer a glimpse into our own lives. Although it may have gone unnoticed by many of us when it was presented in the 73 Compendium yearbook, reading it now after a lifetime of experiences reveals the foresight she possessed even back then. After reading this poem, take a moment to reflect on your own life as I have, and draw comparisons.

What's so special about the class of 73?
The class of 1973 from Aurora Central Catholic High School was indeed a remarkable group of individuals. We were extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to attend and graduate from the school in the area at that particular time. The school had a comfortable religious atmosphere, which contributed to the overall sense of community and belonging on campus. Overall, the school’s commitment to fostering a welcoming and supportive religious environment was one of its defining features.
Our group of students was highly competitive in all aspects, including academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. Regardless of whether we were involved in a club or just a fun person to be around, everyone knew, loved and respected one another.
The class of ’73 was the perfect size, with approximately 144 students. Although we did not receive participation trophies as they do today, we all came out of the experience as winners. Even now, as we continue to visit this website, it is clear that all of our classmates continue to be successful in their lives. The class of 1973 is a testament to the fact that hard work, dedication, and a strong sense of community can lead to great success.
